Located in the heart of the Hunter Valley, local to major Stud Farms, Amarina Farm is the perfect place for your horse offering high quality agistment facilities for permanent and seasonal mares, including full 24hour foaling facilities.
Amarina also offers agistment for weanlings, yearlings, and spellers. The farm is post and rail fenced, fitted with electrics ensuring every paddock is safe. Most paddocks are irrigated meaning horses are always on quality feed, supplementary feeding of grain and hay is also provided when required.

Amarina provides experienced staff to care for your mare both pre- and post-foaling. Mares are monitored 24 hours a day and staff work in conjunction with Scone and Denman vets to make sure the birthing process is safe and Mares are prepared for the up-coming breeding season.
Amarina is set up so the mare and foal's progress can be monitored closely till they have developed enough to move into larger paddocks in small mobs of horses at the same stage. We work closely with our farrier and vets to monitor hoof and leg growth so any corrective work can be done to ensure proper conformation development.

Foals are weaned in an manner ensuring both mare and foal experience minimal distress. The weanlings are then placed in mobs of the same sex, and of similar age and size with a nanny. These are given early handling by Amarina Farm staff and Alpha Horse. During the next six months each mob comes in for a week at a time for further handling and education where they are rugged, hand-walked, and taught general manners.

From mid August mares begin pre-covering examination in conjunction with the team at Scone Vets. The central location of Amarina makes it ideal for sending mares to any stallion in the Hunter Valley. Post service care ensures your mare has every chance possible to get in foal.
SALES PREPARATION
When selling a horse under the Amarina Farm banner you can be assured your horse will be prepared and presented in the best manner possible. With a carefully thought out plan considering nutrition, exercise, conditioning, grooming, and education, horses arrive at the sales with genuine groundwork behind them. Staff also work closely with vets and the farrier so each horse receives any individual care necessary. With horses being sold for good prices to well-known purchasers, Amarina's reputation is quickly growing for producing a professional draft that goes on to perform.
QUARANTINE FACILITY
Amarina is one of the few farms in the Hunter Valley who has an AQIS approved quarantine area for imported pregnant mares. This also includes a 24hour foal watch, crush, boxes, and all the facilities required in a first class breeding operation. Mares and foals are able to fufil the 3week post-foaling quarantine period in a setting that is safe, with good pasture, ensuring they are 100% when entering the general population.
